Vacation Bible School Mission Opportunity!

We are thrilled to announce a special initiative during our Vacation Bible School from July 22nd-25th. We are partnering with Upbring, a Texas-wide organization implementing generational innovation to advance child wellbeing. They are leaders in delivering a broad spectrum of life-restoring services that elevate and heal human beings in our communities. Their work secures a future free from the damages of abuse.

This year, we're hosting a Backpack Drive to celebrate the upcoming 2024-25 school year. Upbring’s mission is to collect backpacks and school supplies for over 200 children in foster care, and we need your help to make it happen!

At Upbring, they believe in the transformative power of education. It's not just about textbooks and tests; it's about empowering children and preventing child abuse.

Here are Two Ways to Make a Difference and Participate:

1. Sponsor a Backpack: Consider sponsoring one or more backpacks. Purchase a new, standard size and gender neutral backpack and drop them off in one of the marked bins Monday – Wednesday at VBS. Come August, Upbring’s students will be well-equipped to tackle the new school year head-on!

2. Purchase Supplies Now: https://upbring.org/b2s Our children need school supplies of all shapes, sizes, and prices: pens, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, 3-ring binders, filler paper, spiral notebooks, rulers, Sharpie Highlighters and backpacks. Every item you donate will make a tangible difference in a child's life. Use this link to purchase and have them shipped directly to Upbring.

Send your kids on an awesome summer adventure!

At Scuba, kids explore what it means to have a friendship with God! Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, experience one-of-a-kind Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love, and test out sciency-fun experiments that get imagination bubbling.

Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with a Fin-tastic Finale that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at 8:15 pm.

Your kids will also participate in a mission project supporting our friends who live in an orphanage in Brazil!

The fun starts at 5:30pm where you and your family are invited to a free meal provided by Point of Grace!

The VBS program starts at 6:00pm with Sing and Play Celebration

Parents, grandparents, and friends are invited to join us at Canyon Closing each day at 8:15pm, a daily celebration of God’s greatness and love!
