Woke up this morning, getting ready for my day. Hear about the 100 people in Austin who lost everything to fire and how you can help.
Hear on Good Morning America - We are still here! Oh yeah, today it was all supposed to be over according to the Mayan calendar! But yay, we are here because our God is the only one who knows when He will return. Your Will be done Father!!! Amid all the hustle and bustle of the Christmas Season, yes, amid all the hard, hard things of this life. He intervenes!!!! Woo Hoo!!!
As I finish getting ready, He reminds me, I was supposed to do the Blog for today (which was supposed to be done yesterday). Ahhhhhhh, slight panic! As I start down my stairs the devil tries to creep in telling me what a loser I am. But God intervenes by the time I get down the stairs, once again stomping on that serpent's head!!! Thank You, LORD! And then I see His true Glory, lit up in the sunrise, a beautiful, amazing sunrise that was there for me to see....... and I say, “This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be Glad in it.” Psalm 118: 24
Today’s reading: Colossians 1: 13-20
13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
The Supremacy of the Son of God
15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
Well, I’m good to go with verse 13!!! He has rescued us from all darkness and brings His Kingdom to us through Jesus. He has rescued us rings out in my head, loud and clear! He is my Hero!!! (sorry I can’t help the exclamation points!)
The rest of the verses is the proof to me. “and in Him all things hold together” - in this new day and every day after that and into eternity. So this day, my brothers and sisters in Christ, allow Jesus to fill your hearts this day, whatever happens. He stands there waiting for the invitation, waiting to intervene into your lives. I believe that with all my heart and soul. Choose to go through this day with great JOY overflowing to others to share that Good News - God is with us and he is Supreme.
How is God your hero???
Excited beyond words in the celebration of Christ, the King,
cindy
